Many customers have benefited from a successfully developed Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture using BizTalk. The ESB architecture is now seen as the most appropriate approach to use for implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) across an organization.

In response to this, Microsoft’s Patterns & Practice team launched their 'ESB Guidance' to help customers implement an ESB using BizTalk. In June 2009, this was taken a step further with Microsoft’s launch of the BizTalk ESB Toolkit.

Raving Mad About can design and develop SOA architectures in enterprise level environments. Using our knowledge and experience, we can help you examine the best solution for your business.

The BizTalk ESB Toolkit consists of tools and libraries that extend BizTalk to reduce the effort in creating and operating it as an ESB. It introduces a clear ESB architecture to the product and leverages the inherent capabilities that BizTalk offers. The BizTalk ESB Toolkit is a free download for BizTalk users and Microsoft has announced that they will also make the source code for the tools and libraries available to anybody who wishes to extend them further.
